Intermittent Fasting Daily Menu/Results/Accountability

  • Popular Post

Hey y'all! Anyone and everyone is welcome to jump in and join us.

This is the Intermittent Fasting DAily Menu/Results/Accountability Thread. It's where a few of us (or many) are going to log in and encourage each other while we experiment with our own IF plans. You can list or talk about anything--not just your food. I look forward to adding in HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) and core exercises to my walking plan while practicing IF. So expect to hear about that too. ;) hehe I expect some of us will talk about the known IF side-effects like insomnia, circadian rhythm disturbance, etc. It's all good! Let's hack this IF mofo! mkay? :D

There is not any 1 specific IF plan--there are so many to choose from, so this is a BYOIFP (bring-your-own-IF-plan) and join the fun! This is the thread where we'll post our daily menus and maybe some piccys at times! We can discuss progress, issues we might notice, look at how we may want to refine our own personal plans. I do think you should be healed from surgery and have your doctor's and RD's blessings to try something like this and you should do a ton of research and reading about Intermittent Fasting.

IF isn't only about weight loss, it's about taking specific measures to limit either quantities, calories, macros, or sometimes only consciously altering eating windows/schedules in order to effect metabolic change and reduce inflammation and improve health markers.

Ok, let's do this thang!!!

Had a pretty cool NSV yesterday. Walked up 8 flights of stairs in a Federal Hospital, so like... more than 8 actual flights of stairs. Did it in 1 shot, no issues and my HR was only 121 when I got to the top... LIKE A BOSS

1. Congrats!!! That's major success in my book!

2. Hope you're feeling better and didn't have to get drugs!

4. Me2

5. Have an awesome weekend!!!! ((hugs))

I do feel better, not 100% but I think I just need some more rest

I didn't get the antiviral drugs which is why I was sick for so long, it was the flu in my mind, oh well

The feast is STILL going! But I'm not going to cook much more except a salmon dish, I'm pooped lol

Cheers to the weekend!

About to go walk but wanted to stop and update first.

Ate 2 meals yesterday with about an 18/6 fast. Felt fine! Ate real food. Yay! Today the scale is still cooperating. Will reveal all on Monday with my month-end report but it's still looking favorable. Doing about a 15 hour fast today then will have 2-3 meals and try to get cals high since they've been so low this week--but don't know if I'll do very well at it. Less hunger these days which I welcome with open arms!!!

Errands and thrift-storing. Today is senior day (30% off) at Goodwill. Gotta love that day and it's $1 day at another thrift store we visit. Mama needs some new $1 long sleeve t's and sweaters!!

Hope everyone's having a great weekend!!!

Woo Hoo ... weight finally dropped below my "low" from a couple of weeks ago! :1295_raised_hands_tone1:

It may have something to do with my near total fast yesterday and some cardio ! Whatever, I'll take it!

The bad news is, I woke up a hungry hungry hippo this morning. Super unusual for me. We'll see if I can power through with hydrating!

Feels pretty decent overall, makes that 200 mark that much closer.

My back hurts because of the spinal arthritis. And I did some work on my Jeep this weekend that required a *LOT* of bending, crouching, crawling, scooting, leaning, stretching etc... I painted the lower plastics with truck bedliner to protect them. Looks great. But my back isn't happy at all today.

The next 2 weeks... I've got a camping trip, several hikes, I have to appear in court as a character witness, I've got an upper endo, taking the wife to go see Blues Traveler... just a LOT crammed into a very short stretch of time.

Thanks... some of it is going to be fun. Some of it is going to be crazy stressful.

The 3 day camping trip this weekend is a prep trip for when I get to start getting back out to do some *real* camping. With the new energy levels and diet requirements, being out in the wild with no cell phone or means to contact anyone for miles means I have to be fully prepared. We've camped in Baxter State Park in Maine, you lose cell signal when you leave the highway, then it's about 2 hours to the camp sites. This coming weekend we are going to Pittsfield State Forrest, it's secluded enough for a proper test run, but close enough to services/comforts/stores if need be.

This is what 53lbs of shirts looks like. Those shirts are all laid out flat, standard sized hanger for size comparison.
