So I’ve been seeing a ton of posts about people feeling rough after surgery or hopeless and I just want to say it does get better! Be strong and hang in there because you are worth it. Your reasons for having this surgery are worth it. Your health is worth it. Ignore the haters because they love to see you fail. I was so down about my surgery and honestly I still question it but I am only 2 weeks out. Today was the best day yet though because I just weighed and I’m 5 pounds from the 100s! Take the small victories where you get them in the first few weeks and Celebrate having a new life to look forward to! There may be bumps in the road but you are strong enough to get through it and thrive. I hope everyone who reads this has a great day tomorrow and everyday after. Just keep your head up if you are struggling because like I said, YOU ARE WORTH IT!

Indeed. It does get better.

Hopefully anyone struggling will see this. Many times people only post if something negative is happening. But so many positive things are going to happen you won’t believe the changes in your life. In three months, six months.... it’s incredible.

Just power through the rough patches!

Oh boy does it get better!!! Every day I'm amazed at how this process is changing me. I see myself in mirrors and other reflections and I just can't believe how awesome I'm looking.

The struggle is most certainly worth it!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
