Okay so anyone else have a complete intolerance post op with any kind of meat. My pouch doesn’t like it and I don’t care for it either. I prefer veggies and that’s about it. I’m not really getting any protein in other than the drinks which my program wants me off of. I’m over a month post op right now. -

mckenzie got a reaction from sillykitty in No meatI may just do them anyways. I am tired all the time and it’s because I’m not getting anything. -

mckenzie got a reaction from Frustr8 in IV fluids and frustrationAnyone else get extremely annoyed when they’ve had to get IV fluids and then weigh the next day and you’ve gained a few pounds?! I understand this happens (especially when you got 8 bags within 48 hours) but ugh it just frustrates me. The IV fluids weren’t for dehydration only - I had a stricture develop and had to stay overnights until the surgeon could get me in to fix it. I had finally gotten under 200 lbs too and now I’m back right at 200 lbs... Oh well I guess.. Now I’m just focusing on my fluids and sticking to my nutritionists advice. -
mckenzie reacted to animallover1247 in IV fluids and frustrationIt is frustrating...take it from someone who has had 6 abdominal surgeries. I kinda freaked out with this last surgery because I gained 28 lbs. My clothes wouldn't fit and it was painful to walk with all the fluid. It comes off though...just takes time!

mckenzie reacted to Born in Missouri in IV fluids and frustrationVent away, mckenzie. This is one of those irrational frustrations that you understand but you don't want to accept. That intermediate goal of "under-200lbs" is one most of us have dreamed about, and here you had to see your weight go above that goal. I'd look at it this way: the first time you drop below 200lbs is a happy day... and so, when you drop below 200lbs again, you get to enjoy another happy day. Two happy days are better than one happy day, right?

mckenzie got a reaction from Frustr8 in Pickle snocone ?Honestly I didn’t think about that. Thank you! That very well may have been the issue. Hopefully later I can do those because it was the best thing I’ve had since surgery but it made me have some pretty rough issues!
