@MN_Meg770. Be sure to let your mother know how much her support means to you. Your comment about your mother checking in on you -- as if she were still in the hospital with you -- was a sweet thing to say. Share that with your mother, too.

I had that with my sleeve in 2014. It sucked, but it gave my stomach the time it needed to rest and heal. Make sure they keep an eye on that PICC line, and you just take care of you. It was an odd time, as they also wouldn’t let me lose weight. They would hang a bag of fats every day. I would laugh about having weight loss surgery and being given fats. I then had a feeding tube and the daily caloric count was over 2,000. Again, I had to laugh. I was an overweight woman with a feeding tube. Sometimes I just had to find the humor.
I’ll be thinking of you, as I have been there. Know you can come out of this just fine, and still get to your goals! ❤️

@Kimber628 hi wow so I have picc line now but I’m still losing weight I lose about 3 lbs a week or so and I still have nausea going on 10 weeks it haven’t let up how long did it take until yij were better they will do a check on my throat and also inside. So far they can’t tekl why this is happening. I was just released last week for a blood infection and had to get new picc line almost died I was taken by ambulance and nearly fainted and was given lots of morphine for pain.it feels like I’ll never be normal I wish u never did this surgery I rather lose it the hard way and be back to my old self. I feel my life is ruined and I’ll never eat again.

@kokolat2005 I have so been there. I had an odd thing happen where I got a new PICC line and within 24 hours, I was full of blood clots. My right arm to neck was 80% occluded. I had them in my leg and my lung. I didn’t feel well so my doctor had my go to the hospital for the line to be checked. I drove myself there lol. I ended up in ICU and once I was more stable, I was sent to a university hospital for a few weeks. I here you on the almost dying thing. It was terrifying. I had the line taken out and I switched to a feeding tube. I’ll be thinking of you and hoping this all gets better soon. Keep advocating for yourself!!

At least you had somewhat an excuse for your pancreatitis, mine came when my gall bladder, had exited 31 years before.😛 Get to,feeling, better soon.

Boogie, you mind your P's and Q's and do everything they tell you to. You don't want to screw around with pancreatitis. Thinking of you and hoping you're feeling better ASAP. What crappy luck!

Update 💓 i have now “graduated “ to shakes again although they’ve been causing me great pain and trouble keeping them down. I am also still being fed nutrients via IV for the next two or so days . The positive of all of this is that my pancreas levels are improving. I will update soon. Thank you all ❤️

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
