Need to eat more (women only)

I suspect that as my menstrual cycle approaches my hunger increases? Plus I gained, Anyone else experience this? Also I need more fats? Is this common? Is this just a post WLS thing? I remember wanting chocolate but I don't really anymore...

I definitely get more cravings around that time. I used to get really bad cravings for sweets around my cycle, especially for anything with a Peanut Butter and chocolate combination. That does seem to have passed some. Whether that is because I’m not eating the same or because of my surgery I am not for certain.

When I was heavier I would retain 5-6 pounds of Water weight. Now I retain 2-3 pounds or maintain. The week after I have had decent losses of 4-5 pounds though.

I think it’s just a normal part of our cycle.

I am not on any hormones or birth control, and I know sometimes these can affect it as well.

Oh man during the PMS period is hard !! I crave the weirdest things and I am constantly hungry. The surgery hast changed this one bit, I can’t eat as much so one or two bites I’m full but the cravings don’t go away and the hunger comes back. During the regular weeks of the month I’m totally fine , as I’m healing I find that I have to remind myself to eat and the hunger hormone is almost non existent🤷🏽‍♀️

Normal. I almost never go over my calorie limit, but when I do....you can put money on it that it'll be in the days just before my period. And I crave steak afterward. Weird!

I stall during my period. Then about 4 days afterwards, I drop all at once. Oddly, I am really NOT hungry at all during my period and tend to fall back on Protein Shakes to make sure I get something in.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
