Welcome to June RNY Buddies! You're doing great with weight loss already. That's a long pre-op diet. There are several of us with dates right around you. Keep checking back. Sending you all the best for next week. I'm a mix of nervous and excited too! <3

Learning how to respond, not used to forums. I had to start early because my liver was 24cm and not the preferred 16cm. Surgeon recommended to extend diet. I am having Optifast x 3 meals, plus diet jelly for snack and certain vegetables 2-3 cups a day.

Wow! Home already? That’s really fast. No time to observe or make sure your ready it seems like. I think we should get a couple nights in to verify all is good a couple days out.

I agree, that was super fast. I know here in Connecticut you have a mandatory overnight stay of at least 1 night for the sleeve and at least 2 for the bypass. I thought this was standard everywhere but now I’ve seen twice this month alone people leaving after a day. Praying speedy recoveries for everyone

Staying one night at the hospital was the plan the doctor decided. I couldn't be in that room another day lol.

Whew! It has been a long day! Everything went well, and all I can say is stay in front of the pain. I dont think I was mentally prepared for how much it would hurt. But walking and moving definitely helps.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
