Grocery shopping

Recommended Posts

I really need some help, I am trying to keep to my SHOPPING list but I keep getting so depressed when I walk down the isles and see all the food I love and can't have, and I always end up getting something that I am not supposed to have and than I feel so bad, please help, any suggestions would help.

What about doing online shopping, like Amazon Prime Now, Postmates or Instacart?

When you go shopping, are you hungry? If so, make sure you eat before you go. Only take enough money for what's on your list.

Make a list and make yourself stick to it. Don't even go down the aisles that have the food that you shouldn't eat.

What stage are you?

The reason I asked was because I found the grocery store a miserable place because nothing seemed appealing for the longest time. I didn't have any cravings and food was a menace to me. But it eventually changed and now I make lists and I only shop on the outside isles of the store. Most of the junk is in the middle. I stay away from processed foods and it helps a lot. You have to do whatever it takes to avoid making mistakes.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
