TMI ... let's call this "things sit differently for a smaller man"

Recommended Posts

So I'm down from 337 to 196. And that's been great. But there are constant adjustments. Some of these adjustments are... awkward. This is straight up male TMI info coming up so you have been warned.

For instance, my entire adult life, my uh, business, let's call it, fit into underwear and pants a certain way, and sat a certain way. It was weird enough when I had to switch sizes on underwear over and over, then switch styles, finally settling on medium sized Adidas boxer briefs that manage to keep everything where I'm used to/comfortable with it, even without the help of a bunch of excess body fat pushing it outward... while I am standing anyway.

But the latest thing--and I am truly sorry for bringing this up, but where the heck else am I going to talk about this?--is that it turns out that the change in my body shape now means I am sitting on my family jewels. Well, not on them, but they rest on the chair/seat now. OK, well not on the chair, but resting much lower than I am accustomed, such they they feel like they are. They used to sort of rest on my fat/splayed out thighs. This is truly weird and I'm still not used to it. It's making me think I need to find another kind of underwear again.

Edited by etc. etc. etc.

I am a woman and I cannot relate. But, everyone has that one thing that they have to adjust to... you think that loosing weight will bring you nothing but joy. No one talks about the saggy breasts that might as well be "tennis balls in tube socks" or how a man's balls don't feel right resting on a chair.

I'm glad we have these problems though ;)

Well, I talk about my 'tennis balls in tube socks' ALL the time!!! Rolling titties - yep! They roll right outta that bra like a slinky!!! So I hear ya, bro....lol

( my hubs likes those boxer briefs that have that 'pouch' - try those.)

Why have no men responded yet?

Not sure if these will help but my husband wears Duluth ballroom boxer briefs. He says they give him support & freedom. They are pricey for underwear but I think they’re on sale now. Fabric is nice too, especially those made for cooling the nether regions.

Now I’m wondering how many balls have rested on my chairs (at waiting rooms, etc.) before I sat in them. lol

Sounds so uncomfortable , sigh... Maybe the cut or style of paints need to be adjusted? Higher inseam to keep everything up, or a different type of fabric in the underwear , neoprene or spandex to act like a push-up bra? Idk but congrats on your success

You are not alone. It's not just how they rest in underwear either. Though to be honest, I don't know if it is the weightloss or just a fact of aging; but the boys are hanging lower than they used to that is for sure.

I used to go to the bathroom nearest my office here at work. One day while sitting in the stall, I noticed that I was getting a little chill down there. Lo and behold, the damn things were just reaching the water! Now I know to go to the other bathrooms that have a little more room.

I haven't noticed that, but I have noticed the following:

1) The whole kit and caboodle doesn't fit in my boxer briefs as well as it used to

2) The whole kit and caboodle doesn't get squished between my thighs any more

And of course...now when my hubby comes home...

"Honey, can you feel your balls resting on the chair when you sit, or do they kinda hang out in your thighs?"

(I'm guessing it's the chair...cause he's an athletic dude...but now I MUST know....bahahaha!)

You can also ask him if they hang low, if they wobble to and fro, etc.

There is an English show on Netflix called Embarrassing Bodies. On S3:E7 a man has a buried penis after weight loss & has the excesses skin removed between the penis & his tummy.

Just to show how sick I am.... "buried penis" made me think of bedroom games with pirate hats and eye Patches.

"Arrrgh, Matey! You've found One-Eyed Willy!"

In somewhat the same blue venue as the last poster and Netflix
Question: Well how are they hanging, Harry?
Answer: One behind the other, more streamlined and better aerodynamic speed!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
