Working out!!!

Recommended Posts

I am horrible at working out and I have lost 113 pounds in 7 months. My weight loss is going very slow now and I am getting nervous I want to hit my goal weight. I have 29 pounds left to do that so I got a treadmill and I want to do that plus other workouts. Has anyone had success doing workouts at home for arms and tummy especially for saggy skin? If so what did you do I would really like to try some for arms and tummy. Summer is around the corner and would love to tone up a bit.

There are no exercises that will actually reduce the skin... only time can do that. It will “rebound” to the extent that genetics, age and physical limits (how long you had it stretched out, how much you went up and down and destroyed the elasticity and how much it was stretched) allow.

You can use weight training to build muscle to fill out the loose skin to a certain extent.

Not much you can do for sagging skin working out helps but the skin will still be there. I work out at home using weights ranging from 5lbs and up and I also do body weight exercises. Squats push ups, burpee, mountain climbers etc. I do cardio, jogging, as well. Its not always easy but once you push through and form a habit you won't be able to do without it. Consistency is key, over time you will see some toning and you will definitely feel the change in how clothing fits due to loss of inches. I am 15 years post op and continue to be a work in progress! 20180306_071800.thumb.jpg.b952b3a3544e3a0b65cceb71438d869e.jpgHope this helps and keep up the good work!

Google HIIT (high intensity interval training) workouts. That’s one of the best ways to lose weight and tone up. Also work on strength. The more muscle you have the higher your resting metabolic rate.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
