@Ashley RN

hey bud - welcome to the group. rolling red carpet out for you.

long road ahead of you, ups and downs, enjoy the ride- IMO - WLS is worth

any prob or discomfort you might have. in other words "the end justifies the means" -

close your eyes, take a "nap" while the docs give you a heads up on a new life.

good luck - kathy

Ashley you look like I will soon(yeah I look like her enough to be a first cousin, Proud Grammy, if not a sister) It is going to be all right. I will look like that because I'll be afraid they will dump me off the Gurney before I get into the operating room. That's how bumpy my own WLS journey has been! It's gotten to he a common knowledge on Baratric Pal how I've struggled. Even threatened half jokingly ---give me a box cutter and some 30 weight fishing line and I'll do my own. I hope,by the time you read this your little nap will be over and you'll be ready to start your new and improved life. Please let us know how you are doing, even the most mundane things may be a ray of hope for me or even one of the newbies. Good luck and good healing!

      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
