Sigh

This seems like a lot of personal attacks on a person no one on here knows

Text on a screen doesn't always indicate tone IRL

And that's a two way street

There is always the option of not responding , blocking or even reporting a post that is unfavorable

Now that’s a lot of hot air right there!

Oh you did! Not surprised. I remember you telling me that you were eating Taco Bell and drinking soda in my inbox a few weeks ago. Enjoy your tacos babe

Yeah, you know you really aren't a good person, You're a true bully. I had commented on someone's post I believe about struggling and I had a moment of weakness as do MANY weight loss surgery patients and yes, ate taco bell and struggle with my soda addiction. You personally reached out to me via direct message and I shared with you this very vulnerable thing and how badly I felt about myself and you using it as a weapon against me right now is quite disgusting and shows your true character. That is very sad.

Off topic (not such a bad thing to be honest) but don't beat yourself up. Some days driving through town is a puther mucker to avoid stopping off for something I shouldn't have. I never thought I'd be able to give up my diet Mt Dew but going on a year now without. It's a challenge and as difficult as giving up smoking. We all have our own battles to deal with in our own way.

@orionburn Thanks so much. I really appreciate that. My soda addiction is just as hard as giving up smoking, etc. I've been working on it and it's also ok to indulge in a taco every now and then. What a darn shame that someone on a support group site would out someone who privately opened up to them about their struggles in an attempt to embarrass or hurt them. I'm genuinely shocked by that. But back to what you said! It is a constant daily struggle. Just because half our stomachs were cut out doesn't mean our issues are cured. Thank you for sharing that with me and understanding the hardships we face sometimes with our addictions.

I'm still pre-surgery (with my apologies to @goldenbarbie for daring to post an opinion, LOL), and I'm still struggling to completely eliminate wine. So I get it!

Yes I did reach out to you, as I do to other people as well and vice versa! You should be disgusted with yourself and the choices you make, not with me I don’t force you to eat tacos and drink soda. We all make mistakes. I have, I told you I eat Snacks all the time! It’s ok. But it’s no longer a mistake since you keep doing it and don’t care.

Just staying golden [emoji6]

Why are you mentioning my name when you are having a different conversation with another member? Oh you’re trying to start an argument huh? Maybe you’ll stop the insecurities after you get your surgery. Good luck [emoji6]

Aww why are you so upset? Struggling? But didn’t you just say you “effing” enjoyed your taco or it was delicious? [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] So now youre mad at me? Keep that same energy! You’re not being bullied. You made that decision to keeeeeeeep on eating tacos. Since they are SO delicious! I really hope you don’t gain your weight back and think before you comment on posts. We all got sleeved for a reason. Good luck! [emoji8]

On the subject of insecurity...here's what Psychology Today says:)

  1. The insecure person tries to make you feel insecure yourself.
When you start to question your own self-worth, is it typically around a specific person or type of person? Is that individual always broadcasting his or her strengths? If you don’t feel insecure in general, but only around certain people, it’s likely they’re projecting their insecurities onto you.
  2. The insecure person needs to showcase his or her accomplishments.
You don’t necessarily have to feel insecure around someone to conclude that inferiority is at the heart of their behavior. People who are constantly bragging about their great lifestyle, their elite education, or their fantastic children may very well be doing so to convince themselves that they really do have worth.
  3. The insecure person drops the “humble brag” far too often.
The humble brag is a brag disguised as a self-derogatory statement. You’ve all seen these on Facebook, when an acquaintance complains about all the travel she has to take (due to the importance of her job), or all the time he has to spend watching his kids play (and, by the way, win) hockey games. (The "Facebook gloat" is a bold-faced brag which is easier to spot but may very well have the same roots.)
  4. The insecure person frequently complains that things aren’t good enough.
People high in inferiority like to show what high standards they have. You may label them as snobs, but as much as you realize they’re putting on an act, it may be hard to shake the feeling that they really are better than you. What they’re trying to do, you may rightly suspect, is to proclaim their high standards as a way of asserting that not only are they better than everyone else, but that they hold themselves to a more rigorous set of self-assessment criteria.

food for thought:)

Funny, I didn't notice Apple doing any of these things.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
