Any March 2018 Sleevers?

I just got my surgery date for March 5. I am excited and nervous at the same time but I'm trying to hold it all together. :)

Hi everyone Had my surgery on 3-7-18. Getting used to all the new “things” like swallowing, finding out the new baseline when you are full, and how different liquids react with the new stomach... I feel like all I do is sip on liquids all day long. However, everyday it gets better and better... less pain, less gas and able to sleep on my sides now.

That sounds very unpleasant, definitely not looking forward to that.. Please keep the updates coming, everyone has been awesome and provided very helpful experience and tips.

WARNING, THIS IS TMI!!

Had my first bowel movement since surgery. I had my prior one the morning of surgery. It was a very painful experience!!! My colon was contracting on its own, working to try and push things out. It literally took 2 hours to finally come out. Once it did it was hard and the thickest most compacted turd i had ever seen in my life but what a relief. I'm sure that had to be 3 pounds.

I had mine March 5!

Heeeey girl hey me too! Sleeve twins! How are you doing so far?

Day 4 since I was sleeved. Today was a 180 degree turn for me (thank God)! No more nausea, fluids are staying down, only a little soreness on the main incision, less need for naps. Still taking things slow when turning, bending etc but was able to get solid sleep on my side last night. Not craving anything, my mind is consumed with healing vs. hunger so I’m ok with that. Not meeting protein goal yet but hopeful I will in the next day. Thanks to all of the encouragers and those sharing this journey! New life ahead... no regrets!

March 29th for me! Excited and nervous. Trying to keep everything straight - considering making a calendar. Thankful I only have to do 7 days of pre-op but it’s clear liquids so no protein shakes ? Time to start messing with unflavored protein + soup I guess. I’ll take any suggestions anyone has!! Also a little concerned that the plan is only 1 day in the hospital. I’m in Fort Worth

Was sleeved on March 5th and this is the 1st time I've felt well enough to speak on the experience. I was in so much pain the first few days, drinking felt wierd (it still does) but I think things are manageable now that I'm home. Really starting to think I can do this, a long cry from the regret i was feeling in the hospital. I hope it gets better from here

Glad you are feeling a little better, hang in there you can do this.. Thanks for update
