  3. Whether it’s shake, broth or soup, I keep portion at 3-4oz max. Also have to include as a snack. If not, I won’t meet goals. HW=315; SW=268 (3/7/18); CW=258; GW#1=210; GW#2=170
  4. Officially 1 week post-op. Finally on track with liquid and protein - struggled the first 5 days. Now on full liquids until follow up appointment next week. Good luck to all those pre-op or in early days - it gets easier! We’ll be here to encourage and share your journey! HW=315; SW=268 (3/7/18); CW=258; GW#1=210; GW#2=170

  9. Day 4 since I was sleeved. Today was a 180 degree turn for me (thank God)! No more nausea, fluids are staying down, only a little soreness on the main incision, less need for naps. Still taking things slow when turning, bending etc but was able to get solid sleep on my side last night. Not craving anything, my mind is consumed with healing vs. hunger so I’m ok with that. Not meeting protein goal yet but hopeful I will in the next day. Thanks to all of the encouragers and those sharing this journey! New life ahead... no regrets! 14. Sleeved on 3/7 and arrived home the next day. My surgeon discovered I had a hernia and had to repair that during my surgery. He says it’s relatively common with people who are obese. My greatest struggles in the hospital and coming home have been nausea and just a general sense of extreme pressure in the admin area. I am struggling to keep anything down and have to take all liquids very very slowly... where it all comes right back up. For some reason crystal light will stay down but plain water wants to come right back up. I have five incisions. As others have said, the largest one is most sensitive. I found putting an extra piece of guys and some tape over that particular sit incision makes a big difference with the pain. I haven’t taken any pain meds since my day of the surgery and doing fine except as explained above. Things are definitely improving by the day today is the day I am most active and successful with beverages energy etc. I don’t have any regrets and I too am glad it’s over. I’m just going to have to work extra hard to stay hydrated and get some Basic calories in my system. I’m taking things very slowly. I’m wishing all of you the very best of course! 23. There are vitamin patches available. Might be worth looking into. Other things like B12 and Iron can be monthly shots - talk to your Dr. and explore if interested.

  28. I suspect water retention, too. I remember gaining 13 lbs of excess water in the past... was all the sodium from Lean Cuisine Meals. Hang in there, don’t get discouraged!
  29. Finished all of my pre-registration and testing at the hospital today. Counting down... 7 days to go. After a solid week together, Chicken broth and I are now the best of friends! ?
  30. All of your goals are so inspiring! I am certain all of you will achieve what you envision and live the life you deserve! I have to think more about my list, but I know swimming, skydive and 5k were also on mine. If you can believe, you can achieve!
