I just got my surgery date. February 12th. It hadn’t felt real till now that it’s actually happening. I know it might sound weird but now the nerves are kicking in.

They have me on isopure each bottle 40 grams protein. But it it till day three to get beyond just water

Hi All! I was sleeved on Valentines Day. I’m home and doing well but the clear liquid diet is so hard. I just want a cracker lol! I have my follow up on Wednesday so hopefully I can move to the puréed diet and get the rest of my staples out. I have a really red rash on my abdomen. I’ve been taking Benadryl and Benadryl cream. Anyone know why this might be? Meds maybe? It itches so bad...

Do you want a theory or in my case a testimony? I am allergic to Hibiclens, the red liquid in the aqua bottle they give you to scrub with before surgery. Found that out before my last knee surgery,when my whole left leg looked like it was sunburned. When I have my Rny I don't know how they'll prep me, Maybe paint me with Betadine or something else. Oh Dr Miller's a smart dude, I'm sure he'll figure it all out.

Are you sure you're not allergic to Betadine? Many are. Do you have an iodine sensitivity?

Geesh I sure hope not, I get this horrible thought of them standing me up and scrubbing me down with a wire brush or a curry comb. Makes me tingle to think of it, and not in a good way

It is sold at gnc there are a ton of flavors as well my favorite are blue raspberry and grape they are zero carb see attachment

I read that a lot of the other unflavored proteins like Isopure, has a taste many don't like. And Genepro is controversial, and makes some dubious claims. The Life Balance isn't flavorless, it tastes like egg whites, so pretty neutral. It also doesn't mix well unless it's blended. But it's not a big deal to me to stick it in the Ninja with whatever I want to add it to
