A little nervous. I know my life is going to change. I’m just not sure how yet, it’s hard to picture or imagine

Same here. I'm also a sleever and I've been small in the past but this weight gain over the past few years has ruined my self-confidence and my relationship. Before I had kids I was 150 now I'm 310 that's over half weight gain.

So I've been doing a lot f research. A lot of people complain about acid reflux after the sleeve. I'm really leaning to bypass now.

Is the bypass more invasive

Yes, it re-routes your intestine. I'll post a pic.

A little more invasive inside but we still end up with the 5 slits in our tummies just like you sleeved. They pull most of your stomach out and discard it, we keep ours so in theory we could be rejoined and put back to original but I've never heard of a single soul who had it done. One surgery is a-plenty in my book!

I was told the same. It may just be the OPs surgeon that will only accept one up to 30 days old.

Well every surgical dude and dudette runs Bariatrics different but they may do yours when your blood work, EKG and x rays before surgery get done. I'm old and they probably wanted to make sure everything wasn't broke down too bad before any operation. It'll all come out in the wash, darling.

In California, it's good for 30 days, but it is a standard EKG, chest xray, and blood work prior to any surgery. Although I was told a chest xray shouldn't be necessary unless the anesthesiologist wants it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
