Starting my journey

Recommended Posts

I just had my gastric sleeve on 8/29/2017

I was completely miserable the first 2 weeks, now that I'm in my 3rd week feeling better other then having esophagus muscle spasms that really hurt at times. I have only lost 13lbs, very disappointed it isn't more. Is this normal?

Also feeling sharp pains in my right side, not sure why unless again this is some kind of muscle spasms. Any advice?

Hi. Im sorry ur not feeling well. I think the best thing to do is call ur doc and describe whats happening. Are u following the eating guidelines?

Yes, I have followed every guidelines that was given to me, I finally did call Dr.
And he prescribed medication for my esophagus spasms and he said the pain in my side is also just another muscle spasms that will eventually go away. Really didn't know who to talk with, or what to do, or if this has happened to anyone else. Found this site looking for advice, but definitely glad I called my surgeon. Thank you very much for helping:0)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
