I'm just over 4 months out and I feel like I've been doing fairly well so far. I'm down 93lbs from my highest weight. Down about 60 since surgery day. The last couple of days though I don't even feel like eating. I made myself have something at my normal meal times since I know I need Protein. I'm wondering if anyone else has had phases when they don't have any appetite? Just having my Protein Shake this morning made me really hate the fact that I need to eat. Which of course I know isn't rational. I've come a long way and have really started feeling like the priority for food is to fuel my body. This is new though. I'm sure it'll pass like every other bump during this process. Just curious about anyone else's experiences. Thanks!

I have to force myself to eat. I'm not as far along in recovery as you are but I get it!

I am 15 months out and I have times where I am not hungry and do not feel like eating but know I should eat. Depending on the severity of the feeling I will or will not eat anyway. Sometimes if I force myself to eat and I REALLY don't want food it will make me feel sick so I gauge how strong my feeling is.

Honestly I am never physically hungry unless I have gone over 16 hours without eating.

I eat at the times I am supposed to. I especially had no appetite at all the first 6 months, mainly because food was still a scary thought. Sometimes eating would cause discomfort and I was still afraid of complications.

How you are feeling is normal.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
