Protein Shakes Add Ice! (Post op day 4)

Maybe its just me but adding ice to one of the shakes definitely makes it easier to handle! It feels like a treat almost. I make all 3 shakes for the day in morning and by time I get to third one its sludgy lol so i add splash of milk and ice and it is pretty tasty just felt like sharing :).

I actually have issues with cold foods now. I drink my protein shakes at room temp.

Immediately post-op anything cold felt like daggers to me. I never had an issue with the taste of protein shakes. The temp bothered me more than anything.

Wasn't water the biggest killer post-op? Ugh! Man, that hurt. I could drink most things, but when I sipped water, it felt like knives were in my stomach. I like my protein shakes over ice now too, but there's no way I could do that immediately post-op.

Pre-Op: I threw a Premier Protein in the freezer for a bit until it became slushy. It was pretty much the best thing ever during the liver shrinking diet.

6 days Post-Op: I'm fairly nervous about it. I may wait until I get the okay for puree's.

Oh, I hope I can drink them cold after my surgery...I think they taste so much better with ice!

Dayum, shazaam! *running to throw a PP in the freezer and per my new knowledge of them, hoping they don't whack out my heart*

I was the same way. I had to drink all of my fluids either hot or room temp.
