No judgement at all, no one said this is going to be easy at all.

Myself and well as a bunch of other on this forum are here for you.

I am 10 days out. It's very hard the shakes get very boring. But hang in there the pay off is big I lost 23 pounds so far. I sip Water all day I set my water bottles on the counter so I don't have to worry about counting home much I need to drink, by bed time I have all my water finished it helps a lot to drink. My down side right now is i developed pneumonia two days after surgery, so I'm on an antibiotic. Good luck write on these posts we are here for support.

It definitely gets better. Heal yourself up, you do not want to compromise your stitches in your stomach or make the healing prolonged. In the grand scheme this is just a blimp of the rest of your life.

I had miso Soup, and Tomato Soup and all sorts of Soups, you will find the time goes quick although at the time it seems to take forever. Keep sipping Water, I ad some sugar free cordial to my water. Can you have Jelly? That can be a nice change. Icy Poles were wonderful too

I am 3 days post op. I am home and it is so hard, I just want to eat. [emoji24] please don't judge me. I just want to have some scrambled egg or something small but don't think I can. Protein Shake isn't doing it for me.

Judge you?? We are all here for the same reason, and I'd bet the farm all of us know the "I just want to eat!" Feeling!! No judgement here!!
I totally get wanting to eat something (I had 2 week pre op liquid diet), but try to refrain. Your stomach is healing. It's swollen and raw.
Sugar free popsicles and apple juice (1/2 water), ice in the bullet made a slushee that was good.
Good luck!

I enjoyed sugar free popsicles they were a lifesaver for me when it came to wanting to eat something!! Walmart has some really yummy flavors of popsicles to choose from. Also the Jello helped. Hang in there you can do this. That metal game with mess with you but try and think that soon you will be able to eat, and the weight is going to come off!!! Cheering you on ❤️

I got sleeved on the 23rd and I'm only just having a mostly easy time with liquids. Yesterday I had 1200 calories almost 200 G Protein. It wasn't until today I started feeling better but I still have what I'm guessing is waves of gas that make it feel like I have a lump in my chest/stomach. I'd kill for some eggs or real food but I understand my limits and the fact that it's mostly in my head.

No judgement at all. We are all strugglers. Don't eat egg as hard as it is. The risk of food getting stuck in the incision internally is not worth it. Stay strong. Cry if you feel like.thats understandable. I am 4 weeks post op. It gets better with time. You have done very well going through the surgery.

Miso soup without the solids is fantastic. Tastes delicious and the sodium makes me thirsty so it forces me to drink more water. Bone Broth though is disgusting [emoji12]

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
