@Happily ever after @**Janie**

"they" say it's easy to lose weight. (years

past before WLS) (i don't think

that is true, but that's another story)

keeping it off is the hard part - that's

one reason we have WLS.

many OP will drink Protein shakes

to give them that jump start, and

to help bring weight down.

if you don't remember all the rules,

then ask for a refresher course/help.

no need to be embarrassed! IMO Water is

the most important "rule" - plenty of liquids,

(64 oz.) never drink during meals, and

don't drink for at least 30 minutes after

you eat. eat more protein (chicken,

fish etc.) watch the carbs. always measure

your food - moderation is very important.

put food on small plates, use small

utensils. (effective, but head game) eat, chew sllllowly,

chewing thoroughly, be patient with this process. don't

compare yourself to OP. ie - some OP lose weight

quicker than others, more lbs too!! this is not a

race!! but, ready set gggggo!!

(i am "watching" you!!) LOL -

Get back to work!!! - NOW!!;)

good luck

kathy

I'm 7 years out. I am maintaining, under goal.

I had one small period of regain, 8 pounds, just over 3 years out. I lost that, plus some baby weight and went under goal between 3.5-4.5 years out. It was slow, but it happened.

It takes regular weighing and being vigilant about my choices to stay stable. I think if I tried to just "wing it" and also avoided the scale I'd find my clothes getting too tight. I'm not sure. I'm unwilling to find out.

This works for me. I can say it's possible to take weight off again. Dense Protein, eat by the hierarchy, track your intake, eat a deficit from your previous intake. It might come off slowly, but it'll come off.

How long has it been? How close to goal did you get? How much have you gained back?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
