Howdy all! Im just about to reach my 3rd week Post-Op but I am curious to look ahead and see what kind of meats you all enjoy eating. Being from Texas everything is centered around meat emoji23.png (steaks, pork, chicken, fish) and I am looking forward to eating a nice lil helping of Protein (when that time comes).

I love steak, but I've gotten to the point where I feel it's a huge waste. I can only eat about 2 ounces and I'm done. Usually, if I have a steak, I'll share it w/ my boyfriend. I always tell him "Be happy babe, I'm a cheap date". LOL! chicken, Ostrich, and fish/seafood are my go-to's. Since I can't drink while eating, as someone said, make sure whatever Protein you do eat, make sure it's very moist.

Ostrich?!

Oh, you'd be surprised! I love beef Jerky and beef sticks, my Dr. recommended Ostrim (Ostrich). They're high in Protein and are beyond delicious. For me, it's the perfect snack. Check it out, you can find them at GNC, but I usually buy most of my things on Amazon. :D

I never thought to eat an Ostrich. I wonder what other tasty animals I'm missing out on?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
