These do not work for preop diet.
You can make your own bone broth for your preop. Tons of recipes on google.

I made Ina Garten's roasted tomato basil soup with out the fat. Also a black bean soup from epicurous, puréed to death. Both strained through a fine sieve. I'm hoping to enjoy post op.

I'm the same way. After losing 216 pounds, I still struggle with seeing the old me sometimes. And being newly single (after 8+ years, no less) and back "out there," it is weird to me that I am getting hit on by all of these hot guys constantly. Trust me, I am adjusting to all of it, but it is still so much to take in sometimes.
A few weeks ago, I went to Dillards to buy a couple of new outfits to wear out that weekend. I had to buy a small shirt and size 32 jeans. When I tried on the Medium, the sales guy was like "you need a smaller size." When I said that would be a small, he said "then you need a small." As I stood frozen in amazement, he asked me what was up and I took him through the whole story. While he was flatteringly amazed (he was cute, btw), I think I was more amazed.
It is certainly a very different life, and no matter how long this journey has been going on, and how strong you are, it is a lot to adjust to...

Just hit the 350s here. Started at 640. It feels awesome don't it?! I can't wait to hit the 2's.

Feeling so much better! 2 months post op and down 40lbs total.

I would say for now stick to either using beef/chicken broths, and protein powders and mixes. I wouldn't even chance trying to eat and/or drink pureed beef/pork anything. You may feel fine, but your body is still healing from you removing something out of it. That takes times, even if you feel like you are fine and okay, your body is still in recovery and will be for at least the first 6 to 8 months. Don't skip by your plan, and don't cheat it. Because if you do, it may come back and bite you in the rear in a lot harder than what you expected.

For me getting those 80g of protein in consisted of me not only using Isopure unflavored and flavored protein mix, I was also doing Pure Protein coconut water (had about 8g of protein per 12oz), and Swanson's chicken broth (10g per 10oz). Then there was just some days that I didn't meet the goal. Not everyday are you going to meet that protein goal. And that should be expected especially only being like 10/15 days post surgery. But try very hard to get as close as you can to goal as often as you can. The sooner that you meet your protein goals I feel the quicker you will heal your body.

Siggi plain yogurt with flavored protein powder. Killer protein.
choclate chia pudding with added protein powder. Google it.
i can have ground meats on soft/ purée. I ground brisket and chicken. Made them really wet with sauces. Slow to go down.
i use get cheese crisp. Because it makes mush in your mouth.
Turkey pepperoni
deli sliced Canadian bacon
no bean turkey chili. Homemade or store bought.
i made protein powder pancakes. Pretty good. Made mush in my mouth, went down fine.

keep it up. Lots of folks in the same boats as you.

Down to 198 now so I broke the 200 pound barrier. My surgeon wants me to stop losing weight now. This is the real struggles. Looking to get some skin removed. Doctor estimates I could have about 20 pounds of skin and fat removed which would put me under 180. In some ways I think I'm developing an eating disorder in the opposite direction. Most days I still only average 600-800 calories. On Saturdays I tend to go off my schedule so today I had some pizza. These are some interesting times and the ones I find the most challenging. On a side note, I was able to by a slim fit shirt and a slim fit pair of jeans. I strolled through my old stomping grounds in the big and tall section and everything was about two sizes too big now. I'm glad I discover roll tab sleeves. My under arms are bad so short sleeve shirts are a no go now.

Scheduled for my sleeve on Tuesday. 2 week pre op getting old. I'm ready to not have a starving feeling. Lost 22 lbs so far, so that's cool.
Ive been practicing with recipes and protein powders.
So far I have frozen about 2 gallons of homemade bone broth, tomato basil soup and black bean soup. Made the best lemon ginger sf popsicles. Yummy.
