  1. Campbell’s nacho cheese soup diluted with unflavored protein powder. Very good.
  2. There are a few low carb recipes out on the web. I use one with sugar free orange marmalade to make orange chicken.

  5. Eating out is fun and a way many people socialize. Over time you will find what is easy and things you can go to. I’m almost all protein all the time. I split meals with my partner. He will get a salads and sides then half a steak. Plenty for both. Steak houses and bbq places are great. Easy. We order a lot of meat and cheese trays. Easy to determine portions. Very social. Pizza with the tops scraped off. Meatballs are great and proportioned. I try hard to only keep the portion I can have on my plate. Share the rest or put in box I have also been known to have a ziplock bag in my pocket. I don’t care if a piece of steak waits for my to put it in the frig. Within reason.
  6. Coming up on 11 months post op. Down about 150 lbs. been struggling for months to actually lose weight. However body still changing. Odd thing. I’m am loosing energy. Tired a lot. Md says all labs look good. Vitamins levels good. Any thoughts?

  10. How we doing? I am about 25lbs from goal. Doing well. But weight not coming off. Belt loops shrinking, so I’m ok.
  11. Your protein drink counts towards fluid goal. I literally drank from a tablespoon for days. Fresh post op. You have to get your fluid in. It gets better. Liquid then protein.

  16. How are you guys counting sugar alcohols in macros? I like Dr. Johns hard candies. 4 pieces count as 18 carbs, 16 of which are sugar alcohols. Would you count 18 carbs. would you count 2 carbs? What’s your thoughts?
  17. Back on my protonics. I’m going to give it another month. I’m only 4 months today. My goal is to be off all pills. I hate them. I’m about to be off my blood pressure pill.
  18. I was off a total of 5 weeks. Because I could. 3 weeks I could have gone back. I’m at a desk job for the most part. Still slightly foggy headed at 3 weeks. I was glad to be home to transition from puréed to soft. I was glad I had time to figure it out. I was glad to have time to plan for different things I encounter at work.
  19. I was starving Marvin at day 14. NUT said the continue drink my soups and protein as much as needed. Don’t worry about loosing weight. Just heal. I was able too thicken my soups up slightly. No soild food. At day 21 I got softs. And the problem was solved.

  21. My NUT just reinforces the plan of my surgeon and program I’m in. Do do you have heartburn Also?
  22. Almost 4 months post op. NUT encourageing me to wean off my acid inhibitor protonics. Wow. Immediately having heartburn like no bodies business. Like water is giving me heartburn. Folk that are at least 4 month out. How long did it take until your heartburn was not so bad? Ever? Do you still take a acid inhibitor? Do you just deal with it with a tums? Chronic heartburn can lead to other issues.

  24. Not going to have any because of where I am in my journey. But.... pumpkin spice cherrios are on the shelves and call me name in the grocery store. Huge trigger food for me, so cereal will not be anytime soon.
