  1. http://www.food.com/recipe/cranberry-turkey-meatloaf-170375?ftab=reviews living on these this week. Made in a 12 muffin muffin tin. Your really do need to cook vegetables until soft before adding in. I made some chicken gravy to hold on top. They are slightly dry. But very good and goes down very well. I also used the reduce sugar cranberries. Lowish carb and high fiber.
  2. Welcome. Pretty good group of folks lurking around here. Lots of true love experts with years of experience. I've learned a lot from them.
  3. Unless it's a horse pill you will be fine.
  4. If they are bigger than a pencil eraser, you might want to talk to your doctor to find an alternative. My tiny blood pressure pill and other went down find post op.
  5. Thanks. I'll try the lysin. I'm almost healed up and hope there is no more coming. I had 7, yes 7 at one time. Ha, guess what? I lost weight from not eating. Baking soda mouth rise worked well. Decided to fight the acid.
  6. My new stomach does not like chicken unless it is really moist and very soft, like mush. I'm almost 7 weeks out.
  7. Wth? Go to the emergency room
  8. I would encourage you to track your intake for several months. Weight and measure. Research provides evidence that people loose more weight when tracking intake. Use your new tool to build new habits, train your mind to small portions, kick a sugar habit. This honeymoon period will stop and you will gain your weight back if old addictions and habits are not addressed. Just my two cents.
  9. Please don't focus on weight loss for the first few weeks. It simply does not matter and honestly inevitably going to happen. First weeks are all about healing. Just heal. Get your protein and water. Go slow. Good luck and stay strong
  10. I'm on softs for a few more weeks. Meat has been my main protein source. Small piece of cod pan seared. Moist brisket blitzed in mini food processor. Canned chicken made it to chicken salad. Canadian bacon from deli sliced thin. Pulled pork blitzed in mini food processor. My grocery store butcher sells premade slider patties. I can buy 1-2 and it's cheap. Im about 7 weeks out and can only eat about 2 oz of meat. I freeze meat into 2 oz packets.
  11. What suggestions did you get in your classes? Or what information did your nut give you? Start there. Plans are different.
  12. Revolution nutrition isolate splash watermelon is yummy. No whey aftertaste.
  13. Lots of options. What did you learn about in your pre-op classes so? Your nut is the best source of info and samples.
  14. How much did your partner/ husband weight? Count them in your weight loss.
  15. As far as comments go, I have had no in supportive statements. But I do think if someone has the nerve to make a completely inappropriate comment they are to stupid to know the difference and you get to have the nerve to say whatever you want. Also surround yourself with loving supportive people. F the rest respectfully my opinion.
  16. I was able to have decaf from the beginning. We use Starbucks cafe Verona decaf.
  17. Chocolate chia pudding is my new fiber source. Yummy. Google it. Chia is all fiber.
  18. My md office told me today they dont feel like it's some deficiency. So, now I'm focusing on acidic foods. Protein does tend to be more acidic. Ty for help.
  19. My energy was very low for two weeks. Then I increased my carbs a little and that helped a lot. Week three my energy level was at 75%. The brain fog lifted after I increased my carbs slightly. The less than 20 net carbs was keeping me down. Now at week 6 energy is fantastic, no brain fog and I've been able to lower my carbs. For the nurse in his thread. I'm a nurse and there would have been no way I could have done a12 hour shift from an energy and brain fog side of things. Of course I'm 44 yo, that could have something to do with it. Ha
  20. Just wondering. I have had multiple mouth ulcers/ canker sores. Very odd, I have not had them in probably 25 years. Anyone have experience post op? Could it be a deficiency? I'm on my vitamins and get plenty of protein. Normal oral hygiene routine.
  21. Nah. Just pull them up when sitting. Been doing it for year.
  22. Up to week three I was able to eat about 1/4 cup of soup. Took me about an hour to get down a priemer shake.
  23. I'm able to eat spicy with no problem. But says this may change when off acid reducers.
