  4. That's awesome! Keep up the great work I was sleeved 7/28 and almost down 40 lbs. Some days I feel like I should be down so much more and others I feel shocked that I have been able to take this much off...its been a ride!

  8. ...I started exercising a few weeks ago. I noticed the same thing. I found on the days that I am super hungry all day no matter what I eat or drink, I lose a large amount the next day (~1 lb) on the scale. When it happens to me, I double down on my protein shakes to get some extra protein in, try to drink more water and try to enjoy my metabolism finally figuring out how to work again good luck!

  12. Anyone else start out having no issue with fluids, like water and start having trouble down the road? I have been able to drink without issue since surgery but in the past week or so, fluids - especially water is very hard for me to get down. I feel nauseas immediately after drinking more than an ounce or two at a time. I was able to drink 64 oz a day easily before, now struggling to get in half that. I am not having much of a difference in what I can eat food wise, seems to just be relative to fluid. Just curious if anyone else experienced this....

  18. Hang in there... I didn't lose much weight pre-op until I started the 2 week liquids only. Make sure you are getting enough protein and drinking enough water. Its not an easy road, but its worth it.

  20. It gets easier. The first week is super hard. Your body is adjusting (and pissed) and it seems like everyone struggles with different stuff (shakes, water, liquids...). Don't beat yourself up, take it easy. Do the best you can while you heal up. Before you know it - the shakes will go down smooth and you will be introducing new stuff. Try to focus on keeping hydrated and getting rest. The other stuff with come... GOOD LUCK and CONGRATS!
  21. Congrats! That is awesome - a huge accomplishment! Today is my 1 month surgi-versry too...its so odd, some days I feel like my world changed so drastically and on others, I feel like nothing happened. I am down 28 lbs since my pre-op diet. My clothes feel bigger on me but no noticeable difference in size. I just got cleared to start exercising and looking forward to it. Congrats again on the awesome milestone! Keep up the good work

  25. Hang in there, everyone talks a lot about the three week stall...don't get discouraged. I was sleeved on the 29th and I am trying to keep a positive outlook...I lost 15 lbs on the pre-op diet but since the surgery (3 weeks ago), I am down almost 10 lbs. Pre-surgery me never had luck losing 3 pounds a week and keeping it off - so I am trying to focus on that....but it is hard when you read about how weight is flying of people and wondering WTH is going on!!!!! Keep at it
  26. Anyone have their 3 week stall earlier? I was sleeved 7/28 and the second week post op lost only .1 lbs... I've been getting in close to 10,000 steps a day and meeting my protein and water goals...still eating puréed food and getting frustrated [emoji30]
  27. That's awesome
  28. I am right there with you, I was sleeved on the 28th and just starting soft foods today. So far I was able to get yogurt in but I think I had too much - I had stabbing pains in my back with the last few bites. I guess that's my stomach's new way of saying STOPPPPPPPPPPPP. I am finding it hard to get enough fluids and protein in, while trying to eat every few hours. My NUT wanted us to go to 1 protein shake a day (ISO 2) when we start soft foods but there is no way I can do that - I would be so short protein. Today is really the first day I had the stamina to take a 30 min walk. I am hoping that in a few days with some more calories and protein I will have more energy to start moving!
  29. @momx02 you are definitely not alone. A few days have gone by and I feel better. I still get a little anxious when I think down the road...like what if I am here , or what if we go there so I am trying to just focus on my day. Having my shakes, water and take it from there. Hang in there, we've got this.
  30. ...That is such a good point. I am going to focus on that and start trying to get myself ready by setting good habits now! Its amazing that you have lost 60+ pounds - keep up the awesome WL!
