My husband had the sleeve done 3 days ago. He started coughing up blood.

Has anyone experience this?

I had the sleeve done Dec. 06 and I did not.

I would go to the hospital. THAT is not normal at all

That sounds like a clot in his lungs. I'd head straight to the ER.

IMO, coughing up blood more than once is cause for concern. We hope your husband got the care he deserves. Keep us posted. Good luck!

I did my second day in the hospital, I was coughing up bright red blood into the tissues, it was from the intubation.

Any update on how he's doing?

I coughed up blood that night after having surgery. They said it was just from the staple line and that it was fine. But def double check to be sure.

Update: My husband went back to his doctor and he said he had a sinus infection that was causing this.
He has lost 22lbs now and doing a lot better.
