  1. What you did to yourself was start to free yourself from the bondage of excess weight. What you did is give yourself a gift!
  2. Is there any harm in doing this?
  3. I'm sorry this happened to you. You don't deserve it.
  4. I live in San Francisco & am 4+ years post gastric sleeve surgery. I'm at a very different point in my journey than you are but know that you aren't alone. Feel free to hit me up directly. Good luck!
  5. What are you trying to do? Satisfy an oral fixation or ingest some CBD? There are ways to satisfy an oral fixation without inhaling anything. Also, there are ways to ingest CBD without inhaling too. Good luck!
  6. You got this! Make sure to come back & share your progress!
  7. Eyes on the prize! Remember this is temporary. Lots of people have shared their liquid-only diet experiences here. When you need a boost, come back here & read how others have dealt with it. Good luck! You are not alone.
  8. Remember that whatever makes you throw up now may not always make you throw up. Good luck!
  9. Hi Aiysha. Welcome. Winston Churchill said "when you're going through hell, keep going!" You can do this. Yes, it's hard. But you can do this. Good luck! You are not alone.
  10. Any of us would just guess. Instead, try contacting the person who said it & ask that person to clarify. Good luck!
  11. I'm more than 4 years past surgery but definitely still have acid reflux. What you're experiencing sounds too severe to ignore. Good luck with your doctor appointment. Remember to come back & share your experience! Good luck! You are not alone.
  12. Congratulations! At some point you may hit a stall. Or the loss will be less dramatic. That's okay! Don't sweat when that happens - I don't know a WLS patient it hasn't happened to! In the meantime, enjoy this! Good luck! You are not alone.
  13. Know yourself. If you only have 1 or 2 on special occasions, you'll probably be fine. Me, on the other hand, I don't do moderation. I'm either all in or all out. I was a wine person before surgery 4+ years ago & stayed that way after. I lost 108 pounds & then regained 40 of it because I was drinking 1 to 2 bottles of wine a night every night. The horror stories you've read about are true for some people like me. I'm proud to say it's been almost 2 years since I had a drink & the weight is slowly starting to come off again. If I could change 1 thing post-op, it would be never starting to drink again. But that's me. Good luck, whatever you choose!
  14. Please do let us know. This is valuable info to share! Thanks! Good luck!
  15. Good luck! When you're done, make sure to come back here & share your experience with those who haven't done their psych eval yet!
  16. It's not a guarantee that you'll have a hernia. I didn't & I know lots of patients who didn't either. It depends. Good luck! You are not alone.
  17. Start light. If you tolerate it well, slowly build up. If you don't tolerate it well yet, tell yourself it's okay & try again in a week or so. Be kind to yourself & don't expect to pick up where you left off. You'll be back there soon enough. Good luck! You are not alone.
  18. That's great! Good luck! You are not alone.
  19. Yes! This is will help those first few weeks post surgery easier. Good luck! You are not alone!
  20. I was sleeved over 4 years ago. I was never nauseous & have never thrown up. I do, however, understand your anxiety. Keep breathing. You're going to get through this. Winston Churchill said, "If you're going through hell, keep going." Good luck! You are not alone!
  21. Welcome. You are not alone.
  22. I'm a big fan of Isopure. Even now, 4+ years after surgery, I have 2 servings of Dutch Chocolate flavored powder with water daily. Good luck! You are not alone!
  23. You should follow your surgical team's plans, but I drank coffee before & after surgery. I definitely preferred low-acid coffee, like "Big Trouble" blend from Counter Culture Coffee. Now, 4+ years later, I've given up coffee. Caffeine kicks up my anxiety & I don't need the acid. Tea is working better for me. Good luck! You are not alone!
