I thought it was just me. I kept thinking, it's my stomach, I think I should take it with me!

Just an FYI for most people who have not yet had surgery. Many laparscopic towers have camera boxes with a hard drive built in. If you asked your surgeon and bring in a flash drive I'm sure many would gladly record your surgery and give you a copy if you asked nicely (it's literally two button presses for them).

Obviously it would only show you the internal portion of your surgery (which really is the only cool part to see anyway)

I was mainly concerned about my liver (and asked my surgeon to show video/photos of it), which I have a high res photo paper of:

I would have liked to see video of the whole thing being done, but it's cool seeing this.. likely the only clear picture I'll ever see inside my abdominal cavity.

Looks health

I received before/after photos with the surgery report. It's pretty standard that they take photos.

That's so cool. I wanted my surgeon to do that but I completely forgot to ask about it the day of my surgery. It would have been cool to see my own insides. Wanting that isn't weird at all. [emoji846]

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
