Christian bandsters

There are Christian programs such as RU and many others that deal with addictions. Let's face it we are addicts. Just because you are born again, (and that is the only way you are a Christian by the way) does not mean that you will not struggle with sin. Yes overeating is sin, but praise the Lord He is faithful to forgive and heal us. See 1 John 1:9. I will pray for us that God will give us grace to overcome in His power and for His glory.

9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Let you tell you with some of the threads out there bashing Christians it is nice to have a place where offering to pray for someone or asking for prayer is always accepted. Thank you Lord for this thread and these people here to suppot others.

Absolutely!!

What do you think about the YMCA changing their name to "The Y"? I think it's pretty sad.... it seems obvious to me they wanted to get the "Christian" out of their name. Pathetic!

I am in His hands! If it is His will, it will happen! And if it is not His will, I will trust that He has something better for me! And, thank you for the "welcome"!

Thanks. It came to me in church. If your stomach offends you, cut it off. Was God's humorous way of telling me getting the surgery was a good thing. It was my way of admitting I'm powerless over food addiction. An act of humility. I do have a blog out there in cyberspace and also on lapband thread with that same title. Haven't posted since I reached goal. Just haven't the time. But it might be of interest--especially for newbies. Lots about my journey as a Christian.

I felt so much guilt for not trusting in God to help me with my weight issues but this has been a toold that God has provided me. I'm excited to not have food controlling my life. Thank you for everyone's responces they have helped me so much.:(

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
