I have struggled with weight all my life.  Yes, I am a yoyo-aholic.  I have been losing my struggle over the past 5 years.  Now, I am battling weight related health issues which have made me realize that if I do not do something about this now, I may face the same future as my Mother... My Mother passed away from complications from weight related diseases at a very young age.  I have begun research into Bariatric Surgery.  I am at that stage now.  I have gone to the Family Doc, had all the tests - and the results are pointing me into this direction.  I believe I may have found a very good Surgeon in my area, but have been reluctant to make "the call".  That is the next step.  It is somehow comforting to be in the "research" part of this jouney - and kind of unsettling to take that step beyond....I joined this site to be with others who not only understand, but have lived what I am experiencing.  I look forward to meeting new friends to have encouragement and to BE encouragement..  All journeys are more meaningful when they are shared..
