  1. Hey Diva! We DID iT!! Yay for US!! I'm down ten pounds with you - woot woot!!! Gas isn't too bad, I've been walking and sipping, walking and sipping, walking and sipping - it's working!
  2. You're on your way!! Today's the fifth - first day (and hardest) is done!
  3. I think it's safe to say we're all kind of scared - but we're doing this! We're taking that first step into the rest of our lives! We all love food, and that's a good thing to love food. We have all come to realize though that this tool will help us to enjoy food in a healthier and better way!
  4. I love your blog too!! I'm signed on!! And I'm soooooo glad that we're going through this journey together - ALL of us July-Bandsters!!
  5. Hey Everyone! I'm a July bandster too - July 13th! I've been on my liquid diet now for 73 hours and 5 minutes... It's not killing me or anything, just sayin' I'm anxious to hear all the stories, the progress - everything!! Let's do this!
  6. I haven't gotten to that stage yet - but I know it's coming...
  7. Hey Everyone! Another Lisa here being banded on July 13th!! I can't wait!!
  8. July 13th here! I'm starting liquids tomorrow - I can't wait!!
  9. Hello again Sheri! Like you, I'm reading everything and anything about Lap Band. But, rather than being discouraged or scared away by the negative stories, I am just soaking them ALL in - I feel that I need to know "the good, the bad, and the ugly." The successful stories encourage me and inspire me to continue in this journey. The less successful stories remind me that Lap Band will be a tool and not a magic wand.. And, they teach me that this journey will have its crosses to bear along with its graces. I have made so many wonderful friends here on LBT and through blogs who are banded, or who are in the process (as I am). Hearing their stories, being a part of their journey helps to strengthen me. I look to them as the grace gifts that I have been given to help me along in my own journey.. And they remind me that I don't walk this journey alone!
  10. Hello Sheri! I too have gone through - and still do - all the questions, concerns and feelings that you have. A dear friend just told me yesterday to "trust".. God is healing and loving.. He leads us to where we need to be - and where He need us to be.. I believe that God knows our weaknesses, our pains, our attempts, our fears, our failures and our triumphs. And, in His tender love and mercy, he places before us the people and the tools to help us to be all He created us to be. It is up to us to accept this gift. He understands our humanity and all that goes with it - He created us! And, I believe that we need to put Him first and thank Him for this opportunity - this help. See His love in your life, hear His call, and know that He walks this journey with us....
  11. Hey Billie!! Welcome to this site! It's HUGE on information and I love reading from folks who have been banded, are hopefully getting banded (like me) and from folks like you who are about to get banded!! And you're RIGHT!! We'll make it - because we're NOT alone!! Don't worry about getting lost on here - I'll find you!!
  12. Hello to YOU, Gemstar! I am a newbie too! I've been to a seminar, my PCP, and have an initial consult with a bariatric surgeon scheduled for mid September! I've been blogging about it for a couple of months now and will check out YOUR blog!! It sounds like we're all in the same boat here and I love to read everyones journeys - I learn so much!! It is always better to go through these things with others who understand what we are dealing with..
  13. Ohhhh thanks for the info on the shakes!! I've started having them for Breakfast, and feel like I've eaten an entire cheesecake!! Maybe I won't put so much air in them.... Welcome everyone!!
  14. Welcome Everyone!! I am the one on here NOT banded yet - just beginning the journey. I am really interested in how everything's working out for you! I hope we can all talk soon!
  15. Lisa_MC commented on Lisa_MC's blog entry in Blog 96252
Hello Inhardemon! I didn't realize I had a comment on my entry!! Thank you for the "welcome"!! I am very much appreciating getting to know folks on this site - folks who are taking the same road that I am! Hang TOUGH!! I look forward to reading your entries!!
  16. That's right!! Never give up!!! Besides, that should be a good day all around - it's the day I have my initial visit with my Surgeon!! Good Luck to you - I'll be thinking about you!!
  17. You're in my prayers..
  18. Hi Tera! Welcome! Good job to you losing those 25 lbs!! Those are 25lbs that my derriere is still carrying!! I'm not banded yet, but am in the beginning stages of getting things done for it. This site is a good place to be when you've got questions, are frustrated, learning - or just want to talk with others who have and are going through what you're experience!
  19. Hi Pickles! I believe that God takes our guilt and tenderly leads us to where He wants us to be in our lives - He heals us. It is a terrific goal to have God lead our lives and not food - we just need to hold out our hands and ask for His help. Good luck to you! And keep us posted while you're on your journey!
  20. hahahahaha!! I am thinking the same thing - Get me to the Pre-Op diet!!! It sounds like you're doing what you need to be doing while you're at work - and that's a GREAT thing! I am usually pretty good through the day, but I assure you, Carbs are my demise, too.
  21. I feel like I'm there too! Just want to eat and eat without any thoughts - but having friends like Kelly have taught me that even though, like you, I'm just beginning this journey - there's no time like the present to begin working on what will be a lifelong committment. I still indulge:blush: - but not like I used to!
  22. Hi Wendy!! You're counted!! I went to my seminar last week and haven't gotten my initial visit yet. I am waiting to receive my "binder" in the mail - should come any day now! I too have grown children, and they and my husband are very supportive! With all those boys, who has LEFTOVERS??? Welcome! ~Lisa
  23. Hi Tasha!! Welcome to our little group! I am Lisa, and haven't been banded yet - I'm still in the beginning phases of this journey. Kelly has recently been banded and is doing sooo well! I am so proud of her!! I am sure she would love to share her story with you!! I'm anxious to hear YOUR story, too! Glad to "meet" you!!
  24. WOO HOO!!!:thumbup: Kelly!! I am anxious to hear about how Banded is doing, too. And you're right Kelly, I think it would be interesting to read about this journey from a man's perspective!
