After what feels like forever, I have a surgery date of April 27 and I start my pre-op diet tomorrow. For the last week I have been eating small portions of lean Protein with steamed veggies and more Protein Shakes than I can stand.

Anybody else one week out?

I just found this forum but I am so excited to learn and share in each of your journeys.

Best wishes.

Good luck! Mine was yesterday. Its rough (it was for me anyway) the first day. Just walk, walk walk and sip on whatever liquids they allow you. Day 2 is a thousand times better!

Thanks! Surgery went well and I was pleasantly surprised I had no nausea!!! Back home now and struggling to get in fluids. Dealing with some serious gas pain. I've tried walking and gasx but am feeling minimal relief.

I've been walking and would welcome more gas relief as well.
I go home on Sunday. So far I've tad a cup of ice chips and it's been an interesting feeling. I can't wait to be home in my own bed.

I've found that for me warm, slightly thicker liquids are the easiest to consume. I had a tiny Decaf soy latte and it was the first thing I consumed without feeling pain from drinking it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
