I know Motrin is a no no after surgery. I took Motrin quite a bit before my surgery in Dec but not since. This month I am having the worst menstrual cramps. I need to be able to function today and can't just rest them away. I'm thinking if taking 1 Motrin because nothing else really helps. But I'm scared! Any advice suggestions etc?? TIA.

Which surgery did you have? I choose the sleeve specifically because I would still be able to take Ibuprofen post surgery. I have used it a handful of times since surgery with no issues.

You should be careful. Nsaids even in normal people leads to ulcers let alone in a person with so little of stomach tissue left. Take them with lots food and ppi if you can't avoid them

I had the sleeve 4 months ago. I'm so glad to hear that. I think I will take one. Ty.

I use prescription Voltaren gel for pain. It is like (or is?) ibuprofen but topical. I don't know if it would help for cramps though.

I hope you feel better!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
