C'mon doc/nut....No nailpolish!

Recommended Posts

I took my gel polish off night before, and put it back on when I got home. I was at the hospital like 26 hours.

@pvechiola I used to spend about 2K a year on gel manicures. So it does matter, especially if you put a lot of time and effort into your appearance, you don't want to break your nails in a 24 hour time period and ruin months of hard work.

Same guidelines explained "you can wear nail polish as long as it is light" so I'm getting a mani pedi and i will ask my nails lady to put 2 layers of clear top coat

JC, take that polish off, don't wear make up and get out your piercings!

You're having surgery. What does it even matter what your nails look like? Get those nails done once you're at home again!

I love you.... Take off the polish and or fake nails, it's no big deal blue or unblanchable nail beds are first indicators of lack of oxygen especially for us chocolate folks we don't turn blue or grey or flush! It's a safety precaution! Pulseox can't read through nail polish or cold fingers! So schedule a nail appointment right after, I've read we'll feel normal on day 2

I can't even believe this is your main concern before having a major surgery. You're not going on a date you're having surgery.

Well...believe it! I never said it was my main concern...just a small formality I had questions about the hospital guidelines. This post was really directed as a comical moment during stressful times to pre-op women who pamper themselves. I'm not that superficial! As a matter of fact, I ran out of time the night before surgery AND left the polish on. No complaints. Surgery went well. I'm on my way to a much thinner me and I can't wait! Relax & get a mani/pedi...Girl, it's gonna be alright!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
