  2. My sitter flaked on me. So I have a friend flying in from Chicago to go with me to Dr Ilan, but I'm thinking I may have to bring my toddler too for her to watch him and look after me in Mexico. Anyone heard of anything like this? Sent from my LG-K373 using BariatricPal mobile app

  7. Sorry about that, I went back and edited. This would be my first WLS.
  8. I received my approval for surgery and planned to go to Tijuana in August. Now I am so nervous about having it done and thinking maybe I can try to lose weight without the sleeve one more time. Though, I'm not sure how this time would be any different than every other time I've lost 40 lbs, given away my entire wardrobe, and then regained 50lbs. Anyone else get cold feet this early in the game? How did you deal?
  9. Today's your day Anthony!!! Hope all is well for you!

  11. I'm so sorry for your loss. I am planning to go to Mexico this fall. I went through the process with one insurance company and then lost my coverage before I could get the surgery done. My new plan doesn't cover the surgery at all.

  22. I know I will do everything in my power to use my upcoming surgery to it's fullest and get the maximum benefit from it. I also am not a judgmental person. But I am scared to death of going through all this process and needing a revision in 5 years. What would make someone need one, because I know everyone who has a revision isn't eating off the wall. How do you know if you'll need one? Is there a way to make sure I only have to go under the knife once?
  23. I live in OK, but will be having surgery in Mexico.

  28. Thank you so much! This is really helpful.
  29. 1. I can't run more than a few steps. 1. I am out of breath walking the very short distance from the parking lot to my office. 1. I find it harder and harder to find clothes- I learned how to sew to be able to get around that. 1. I don't like the way I look. 1. My co-morbidities seem to be multiplying every year. 1. I can't reach my toes.
  30. I can't wait to do this!! The downside is I hand make some of my own clothes and to go through the effort of fitting, constructing, and styling a garment to only not be able to wear it in a few months is disheartening to say the least.
  31. I'm new and nervous too! I won't be having surgery until around August and nervous as all get out!
  32. I'll only be telling a couple of people that I'm doing WLS. All I'm telling work is I'm taking a vacation to San Francisco for a week. To explain the weird meals and weight loss. I'm doing something different my Dr prescribed to assist me in a healthier lifestyle. Truth +vague= sweet spot.
