It's funny the way I never ran into any of these kinds of threads in the several months I was perusing this site looking for info. Perhaps it was because i focused more on Pre-Op discussions.

Anyway, I hope people will read through this thread and realise that sometimes the brouhaha created over said posts are quite unnecessary. People's experiences, even though there are many unifying themes, are still different. Different motives/motivation, different agenda, different mentalities/attitudes, e.t.c

Many times, the advice (even though correct and factual) we pass off can be better expressed. Not everyone takes to 'pontification'. Not everyone will respect your advice. Not everyone will consider your advice as being useful. Not everyone will regard your questions as being anything but silly. That's just what being human is all about.

For those that feel an individual is ruining their chances, drop a word (even if condescending) and let it be.

We are all grown-ups, and sooner than later, we will face up to the consequences of our actions. Even the surgeries we had are all consequences of our past actions. No need to lose our minds trying to impart 'the wisdom of the ages' onto everyone.

PRIDE!!. Let us not kid ourselves that it isn't important to almost everyone on this forum. When it is a wall, try to work round it to reach the person you are advising.

In summary, I have no opinions on PB&J. But too many threads in the post op section tend to go awry for the most ridiculous reasons.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
