February Surgery! Any buddies?

  • Popular Post

I finally have a date! I feel like I'm being swept off my feet. I keep hearing the date over and over in my ears. I cant believe a year ago, I didn't even know there was such a cure, and here I am about to start living the healthy life I deserve. Its becoming real and I absolutely can not wait. I only know a few people who have gone through this, but I would welcome any comments or support!

Had my surgery yesterday, got out of the hospital earlier today, and I feel pretty good, oddly. Walking around with no problems, hardly using pain killers, passing gas (sorry if that's tmi), handling my liquids. I can't complain about this part, but I'm worried re-introducing food will be trying. We will see. Congrats to you all!!

The first 24hrs were definitely hard for me. Mostly my recovery from being put under for the surgery. I didn't even feel like taking and liquids that day. I was doing ice chips. I was able to walk a few times that evening, but I slept most of the day. The next morning I went off my pain pump and that made a huge difference. I was able to take in more fluids and I walked about 7times that day. It really helped move the gas out.
