From a safety point, there is no way you should be eating this kind of food and and in this amount so soon after your surgery. Call your surgeon and speak with his or her team.

This is on you. I am seriously concerned that if you continue to eat like this, you will either injure yourself or eat around your surgery. Get some help.

Okay. If this was pre-op, then no harm, no foul. I am still concerned that you are not taking this as seriously as you should be. Please discuss counseling with your medical team.

This was slightly rude. You can tell how worried she is, you're assuming she's like "whatever" and moving on.

I think you should be fine.

How long is your preoperative diet? You want to shrink your liver so they can perform laproscopy versus open.

I had a couple bad choices during my pre-op diet and I was okay. Just keep to it and everything should be okay.

I would like to think we've joined this group to receive honest feedback...

Renea in AL

There's a difference between being honest and rude and not really caring. She messed up, yes. She knows this. But throwing it in her face and questioning her motives is completely uncalled for.

Look, pick yourself up and continue to succeed. It's hard and there WILL be bumps in the road, learn from it and move on.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
