That's too bad! Hug a pillow when you have to sneeze next time and see if that helps. I haven't been home to weigh myself since Thursday, but at that point I was 10 days post-op and down 15lbs.

And btw I'm Susie

Yes weight lose has been going well I am about 13 days post op. I am going to start traveling with my pillow because that pain right there is unbeatable ...

I was the 17th. Healed enough for first bath tonight - awesome but didn't soak long

Finding the liquids surprisingly ok.. preferring broths to shakes but harder to get the Protein in. Worst bit : self injecting clexane anticoagulant. Best bit: 5kg gone in 8 days

Enjoy... the best is yet to come!!

Is anyone else having that strange dizzy/lightheaded/foggybrained feeling after surgery? I can't seem to shake it

Lapband revision to gastric bypass on 12-14-2016

Weight day of surgery: 308.2 lbs

Current weight: 300.8

Total weight loss: 7.4 lbs

I had mine on the 27th and feeling that way, plus nauseous. Is this a normal feeling?

My name is Mario. It's almost debilitating when I sneeze. I have lost 25 pounds since surgery ... I am extremely tired of broths and ready to try soft and puree food can't wait until the 3rd of January for my post op.

Sneezing really hurt! It finally felt better after about 9 days post-op.

I just had sleeve surgery on 12/23 and I'm feeling pretty good. I have a pain on my left side, under one of my larger incisions, but other than that, I'm doing pretty well. How are you all doing?

Sleeved 12-25 went back to work this morning and starting soft food, i had some salmon today but ate too quickly, ended up feeling nauseous and tried to wash it down with Water,,,

big mistake,,,,,,

It ended up making me feel worse and i threw up the Water. I guess i still need to learn how to eat slowly.

Oh yeah, liquids definitely don't help when food gets stuck. I was sleeved on 12/23/16 and I still forget and eat too fast. Yesterday, I did it agsin wuth a hard-boiled egg. Did you get the "slimies", as I call them (it's gross, but it's a build-up of thick, clear mucus)? Nothing except spitting it up will help. Quite a learning curve!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
