3 months out and I feel great. It's all been a good experience for me so far. Will I feel the same way in 1 year, 5 years, 10 years? Hard to tell. I hope so!

You must be bursting with anticipation for tomorrows surgery. I'm excited for you. A start to your healthy new life. It's motivating to hear about other peoples experiences with WLS. It's a whole other thing to have your own experience with this.

I would absolutely have weight loss surgery again!

I am nervous as hell because this is getting pretty real! But pics and stories like you help me believe that could be me soon. You're an inspiration so thank you!! And congrats on your success!! I bet you do things now you never thought you'd do - great job!

I hope you are able to sleep tonight. You will have some great pain meds while you heal. Give us an update after surgery!...

I am only 9 weeks out but I would not do it again as of right now. I feel horrible and can eat or drink very little. It makes me feel like a sick person- whereas before I just felt like a fat person.

I feel the same way. I regret it so much. Every day I regret it. I started 245 when I got surgery. I have other posts talking about regret.

Are you feeling no better? Prayers coming your way!

Lost 60 lbs 4 years ago, had a thyroid crisis called Graves' disease. Gained it all back and 20 more lbs. couldn't lose it. Surgery done 6/30 lost 45 so far. And feel fantastic! I'd do it again tomorrow!on left side was taken before surgery.post-290840-14768360161501_thumb.jpg

I am just over a year post sleeve and just hit the 100 lbs lost mark. Now I would honestly say I would do it all over again but six months ago I would have said no. It is a tough, long recovery and takes a lot if strength but stick it out and the end results are so worth it.

No I wouldn't do it again. Wish I never did it at all. I am 6.5 weeks out. Worse decision of my life. I read you want to lose 50 lbs. For 50 lbs? No way. Never.

Can you elaborate on why it was the worst decision of your life? I'm just really curious

I certainly would never have had surgery for a 50lb weightloss either.

This was the worst decision of my life.

I am coming up to six months out and still feel as you do.

But you will come to accept it more. We have no choice. So I just concentrate on being at peace. What's done is done.

I am 11 weeks out today and still not feeling great. So you think it all

Got better at the 6 month mark?? Looking for hope!

Like @@Bufflehead said... not only would I do it again, I would go through the surgery and post op trauma repeatedly, annually if I had to, to keep these results!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
