What is the one food you cannot eat since bypass?

eggs and nuts. Neither one of them "hurt" or "get stuck", but they both make me nauseated.

What's strange however, is that only seems to be the case when I eat them straight up. I put peanut powder in my shake every morning, and have no issues at all. I can also eat Huevos Rancheros (without tortilla of course). But when I eat the egg with Beans and the sauce, they go down ok.

I also have a bit of an issue with ground meat, which intuitively would seem easier to eat, but I can't seem to chew ground meat down as finely as a cut of meat. It goes down ok in Soups if I proceed with caution, but otherwise it tends to hurt.

I also have absolutely no idea how things like rice, Pasta, bread or sugary food go down as I have not tried them.

I am 8 months post-op RNY.

Beef and jicama. They both come right back up again. I pretty much live on seafood.

Steak. Ground beef. Pork loin roast. Sometimes hard cooked eggs. Soft boiled are fine though.

Miss steak. Sooooooook much. None work. Yet. 7 mos po RNY.

chicken definitely dark meat is fine. White is iffy.

Did I mention I miss steak????

Anything else, if I can't tolerate it, pretty much don't care. Just the steak. Did I mention that!!???? Lmao

I just celebrated my 1 year RNY surgiversary! I refer to my pouch as the "Pouch of Steel". I can eat everything, including all meats and everything else. No problems with anything....EXCEPT for Peanut Butter! It feels like lead and seems like it sits in my pouch forever. Thank God for the powdered Peanut Butter. I tolerate that just fine. Use it almost everyday some way or another.

I seem to tolerate pretty much everything. Going to try steak tonight. The only thing that didn't work was roast beef leftovers. I could eat it the first night, not the second

Decaf coffee [emoji20] For some reason when I try to drink it it gives me hypoglycemia or something weird. I start to get shaky and have low-blood sugar type symptoms. I only put Splenda and sugar free Creamer in it, so I don't know why it happens. I miss a nice warm cup of coffee.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
