The day of surgery I weighed 370 lbs. Diabetic, high blood sugar, high cholesterol, kidney not 100%, just am all around, typical obese individual with no drive, no energy, just a desire to eat, always planning my next meal. The attached picture was yesterday's walk. By no means am I ready for a marathon, and there are definately people doing better then me, but I'm not in competition with anyone. I just left the doctors office where I was taken off of ALL MY MEDICATIONS! I weigh 317 lbs as of this morning and I haven't felt this good in MA NY years! Have a great day and thanks for reading. ????

wonderful! It's the best feeling to be taken off medications, isn't it?

sometimes I take my blood sugar just for the fun of it to see a normal reading. My last A1c was 5.4 and diabetes is no longer listed on my medical record as a current illness.

Congratulations, @Justgotsleeved. The best part of it all is that as great as you feel now, you will feel even better tomorrow!

Down to 315 this crisp Monday morning. Feeling great. Don't mind me, I participated in a waste loss challenge and it ended last week but I like logging my weight every week so I may turn this thread into that. I apologize if that bothers anyone. And feel free to post your weights as well! Have a great day and week!

Congratulations! I got sleeved May 31 and just started walking/jogging 3 weeks ago. I should have started sooner but I had a rough recovery from surgery. I'm doing my 1st 5k in 2 weeks. So nervous and excited at the same time.

That's great! Good luck on your 5k! It's amazing the things we look forward to now. Physical activity?!?! That's great to hear. I'm participating in a walk next month that I registered for as a walker. Since I've been jogging/walking everyday I may just join the runners and wobble along side of them! :) stay consistent with the walking/jogging and you'll literally see the weight melt off of you by the day. It's a great feeling

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
