It's my turn for the gastric sleeve tomorrow morning (8am). I feel nervous and weird...

I started at my surgeons weightloss center on Jan 29th 2017. I am 5'9 and I weighed in at 271 pounds. This morning I weighed myself at 216 pounds, so I'm heading into surgery somewhat lighter than I expected. I am thankful for the program I've been through and the time I've had to adjust things in my life in preparation for this.....(although who knows how I will feel this time tomorrow!)

Having said that, in still terrified but excited to get through this next part. I haven't been on the forums long but I am so grateful for having access to something like this - shared experience. I've learnt a lot & really love having the support of others who get it.

Jitters are normal, I think. I even second-guessed my decision for a while afterwards. I had RnY on 6/20. Down 70 lbs from highest weight one year ago. Best decision I ever made for my health. First month is kinda rough, but by the end of the second month, it's a new normal. ????Totally off Metformin and off one of 2 BP meds. More energy and stamina and mobility. Can I eat whatever I want, how much I want, whenever I want? Course not! But that's kind of the point, isn't it? Best wishes today and in your healthy future! Keep us posted.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
