Can not stop losing weight.... Help

Recommended Posts

I had a low bmi of 31 when I had the revision from band to sleeve. In just 9 months I have lost a total of 48 pounds - today I am 138 pounds and a BMI of 24.

I have been trying so hard to gain weight but have NO luck. I am NEVER hungry and sometimes go all day without eating.... take today, i had an ensure drink in the morning and around 7 pm I realized i had not eaten all day so i went for a slice of pizza, I could only eat about 3/4 of it as i was full..

I spoke to my doctor about this and all he could say is you have to eat more, Really!!!!

I am not sure what to do, but I really dont want to lose anymore

I am open to thought.........

obviously this is not enough calories to live on.

set a timer. prepackage Snacks to keep with you and work at it all day. clearly you can not rely on feeling hungry to trigger eating. either you will make it a priority to nourish your body now, or your body will make you pay for the neglect with poor health later.

what are your Protein and calories needed in order to maintain the weight you want to be?

and - if there is any fear of eating or fear of gaining weight get help to address that because you can't go on like this. avoiding food is as serious as overindulging.

Sounds like a tough situation to be in... To not be hungry and yet have to force yourself to eat. :( I'm 6 days post op and also a lap band to sleeve conversion. I kept most of my lap band weight off before they unfilled my band to prep me for the sleeve. I don't have 165 lbs to lose like I did before the band, and wondered if I'd be in the same predicament some day. Perhaps load up on sliders, which are high calorie foods before your Protein? For those who need to lose weight, I know if you eat your protein first, you get full fast, so the opposite may help you gain weight.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
