  3. I also had a low BMI when I had the sleeve (30). If I had the chance to do it over I WOULD NOT HAVE DONE IT. I eat very very little, and because of this I cannot gain weight… At times I feel very weak at best… Every time I go out to eat it’s a big waste of money as after three to four bites I full.

  6. I had a low bmi of 31 when I had the revision from band to sleeve. In just 9 months I have lost a total of 48 pounds - today I am 138 pounds and a BMI of 24. I have been trying so hard to gain weight but have NO luck. I am NEVER hungry and sometimes go all day without eating.... take today, i had an ensure drink in the morning and around 7 pm I realized i had not eaten all day so i went for a slice of pizza, I could only eat about 3/4 of it as i was full.. I spoke to my doctor about this and all he could say is you have to eat more, Really!!!! I am not sure what to do, but I really dont want to lose anymore I am open to thought.........

  9. I agree with you its not an easy way out, but from others point of view (our kids) thats how they may view it...
  10. I did tell my Son who is also over weight, he he thinks WLS is the easy way out, so he makes no effort to lose the weight because if thinks he can just get WLS.
  11. I have seen the ENT who says it reflux, went the GI droctor who did the scope and said it not reflux. I take dexelant and Carafate every night, I remember what reflux was from the lapband and this feels nothing like it. I hardly eat so not sure how it can be Has anyone else have this sore throat ALL THE TIME
  12. I also had a low bmi when I had the sleeve done in December 2015 -bmi was 30. Today my bmi is 25 and I'm losing to much weight. I'm never hungery and can not eat a lot of anything When the dr did the surgery he keep the stomach larger than others, when I say him last week he is concerned about the rapid weight loss I'm starting to think this surgery was NOT meant for people with low bmi and that's why the insurance companies have the requirements they do I also had a low bmi when I had the sleeve done in December 2015 -bmi was 30. 18. I am not sure how you CAN NOT lose weight after you have been sleeved
  19. Go to an NA meeting and ask them what they think, you will get your answer...
  20. I was sleeved in December, started with a bmi of 31. Since i have lost about 35 pounds and my bmi is now 25 I am still losing and its hard to gain.. But i also have a family history of heart issues and thought this would be best.. i have to say it times its hard, i reached my goal and it just keeps coming off.... it hard to gain when you can only eat about 1/4 of what you used to. BUT its WORTH it
  21. Regardless of what you read hear. its all up to you, try it when your ready and if you have an issue than stop.... I am not a Dr. but dont think it will hurt... It had NO affect on me
  22. I had the lapband and it worked great for me, lost 50, than it slipped, soon after it slipped I had the sleeve, my bmi was still low when i had the sleeve. I started to gain the weight and the Dr. got the approval for the sleeve and I did it. Now 5 months in I 5'4 145.... losing to much weight....
  23. I never stop drinking it.... less than a week after the surgery i was drinking it, never was an issue
  24. Not sure what you mean by "Yeah, I can see you'd have a problem after VSG surgery done to lose 35 pounds"
