Meal planning and living alone

Recommended Posts

I think meal planning is easiest when you're alone/only preparing for yourself. No need to pay attention to any likes or dislikes except your own.

tupperware like stuff and the microwave are my best kitchen friends since a long time because I don't like to spend a lot of time for meal preparing. I steam batches of mixed vegetables and cook rice in the microwave and can store it in the containers I used for cooking in the fridge. I buy prepared mixed salad greens so I don't need to do the chopping and cleaning.

I agree, but I have always lived alone as an adult.

My grandmother was the opposite. She always cooked for an army, even when it was just she and my grandfather. She had a very difficult time once she was alone.

I have the same problem as you original poster! Also, my sleeve surgery enabled me to follow my dream of moving into an RV and traveling all over the country, and an RV is no place for leftovers LOL… The refrigerator and freezer are small and the kitchen is tiny. This has been a problem. I recently decided to go back to basics, which for me are primarily: yogurt, cheese, nuts, fruits, veggies and meat 2 to 3 times a week. Feeling better already!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
