Omg they denied you because of thinking you would go back to smoking, I just quit on chanticleer, I would be devastated if they denied me that late in the game

I just arranged all my first appointments today, first I have to attend a seminar before they will schedule my initial consultation, then I learn from my insurance company that I will be required to do 6 months of medically supervised weight loss. I was all excited about taking the plunge and getting the ball rolling on this and now I'm feeling like this is gonna take forever

What insurance?

Took me almost a year going thru everything. Had extra tests and extra doctors appt to get cleared. But that's just me. But maybe you should think it'll take a year then if it happens quicker you'll be surprised how quickly time flew.

Dont let it discourage you. The result is well worth the wait.

It is a process, but it is a good thing. This journey is more mental than physical.

I'm also in the 6 month wait club. It's frustrating to say the least but I'm looking at it as a time to research and get things in order. My first appt. was July 18. Now, I'm counting down the days until Dec.

We are on the same timeline. My last appt is 12/4.

I was suppose to have it done in 2015 wasted my six months at another place only to be told they don't except my insurance any more but now I went in May to consultation and have been going to WLIA in Arizona and I'm on my 4th month done all pre-op just have to get clearance from pcp and I get that in the morning your six months will fly by I said the same thing in the beginning of my journey

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
