When do you eat and drink?

Recommended Posts

I am day 4 post op. Surgery was 7/6. I am on liquids and shakes and can have blended Soups I pre made that my doctor gave me specifically for this phase 1. What I am struggling with is I'm not supposed to drink Water, Decaf tea etc until either 30 min before or after a meal. And I can't have any of the shakes until 60 min after a meal. So it gets confusing for me of when I should have what and when. Especially when I'm supposed to get my Water and Protein in.

I am 16 days out. Protien shakes are considered a meal, especially in the healing phase. My plan the first week was to make sure I sip liquids all day long to stay hydrated so the 30 minute rule doesn't apply. You can always add an unflavored protien to your liquids or Soup to help.

The Soups they had me make for phase 1 which is days 3-14 is blended. I mean they are like a liquid Soup, thin. Idk. It gets me confused. Lol.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
