When do you eat and drink?

I am day 4 post op. Surgery was 7/6. I am on liquids and shakes and can have blended Soups I pre made that my doctor gave me specifically for this phase 1. What I am struggling with is I'm not supposed to drink Water, decaf tea etc until either 30 min before or after a meal. And I can't have any of the shakes until 60 min after a meal. So it gets confusing for me of when I should have what and when. Especially when I'm supposed to get my water and Protein in.

I am 16 days out. Protien shakes are considered a meal, especially in the healing phase. My plan the first week was to make sure I sip liquids all day long to stay hydrated so the 30 minute rule doesn't apply. You can always add an unflavored protien to your liquids or soup to help.

The soups they had me make for phase 1 which is days 3-14 is blended. I mean they are like a liquid soup, thin. Idk. It gets me confused. Lol.
