Two days before my surgery I turned 60. I wish this surgery would have been available when I was 40 and maybe the last 20 years of my life would not have been so difficult. In 2004 I weighed 497 and had tried for the past 12 years to lose on my own. Since then I got down on my own to 315. Since surgery which was Jan 26th 2016 I have lost 67 more pounds for a total lost of 249 pounds. Today I weigh less than the weight I have lost.

I was 23 when I had my bypass last August. My highest weight two years ago was 442 (well, highest recorded weight. I have a strong feeling I was heavier than that). I was 387 the day of surgery, and today I weigh 221. I've lost exactly half my weight... according to the records, anyway. :)

I was 35. I am now 37. I lost 71 pounds in my first year post-op to reach my goal of 165. I have lost about 10 more pounds without really wanting to in the 10 months since then.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
